There is so much to see and do on the Bonavista Peninsula!  Check out some of these options to help you enjoy your stay.  Also, feel free to discuss or ask questions and we will do out utmost to ensure your adventure is a memorable one!  We too now offer Packed Lunches for your convenience when hiking and exploring the area.

Sir William .F. Coaker Heritage Foundation

The Sir William F. Coaker Heritage Foundation was formed in 1995. An incorporated, not-for-profit, volunteer-based association, it is dedicated to the preservation and careful development of the Historic District of Port Union.

Port Union Historic District National Historic Site of Canada

Port Union National Historic District of Canada the only "union-built" town, with a social justice history depicting the vision of William Coaker and the Fisherman's Protective Union.

We are located at the start of picturesque Ship Cove, a small protected inlet within the town of Port Rexton.

Union House Arts

Union House Arts (UHA) is a community artspace in Port Union. UHA is committed to supporting new work by artists and craftspeople through place-specific dialogues and collaborative programming in Port Union.

Wild Cove Pottery

Here you'll find pottery and sculpture by artist Michael Flaherty that is inspired by the unique flavour of Newfoundland: the weather, the landscape, and the culture.

Hiking the
Discovery Trail

A trip through the Discovery Trail provides a unique opportunity to hike our coastal trail system. The sea cliffs and barrens around the Bonavista Peninsula will give hikers an experience you will never forget.

Puffin Viewing Site, Elliston

Elliston's Puffin Viewing site offers the closest view of puffins, from the land, in all of North America. Puffins fly close to viewers and often land on the cliffs just several feet away. Visit our website and watch some amazing videos of the Elliston puffins.

The Dungeon Provincial Park

This awe-inspiring sight known as the Dungeon is located within minutes from the town of Bonavista and is a must-see if you’re traveling the Discovery Trail.
